Interior Super-Panel Moisture and Humidity Applications
Super-Panel backer board should be installed in any room where moisture and humidity is a problem. Because of its superior strength and durability, our backer board installed on wood or metal studs, is used as an underlay in high moisture areas such as counter tops, tub surrounds, shower stalls, ceramic tile, slate and marble flooring as well as saunas and steam rooms.
Exterior Super-Panel Applications
Super-Panel can also be used as a non-structural exterior backer board installed on exterior wall and gable end framing to provide intermediate support for exterior cladding such as metal or vinyl siding, stucco walls and thin brick cladding. The board must not be used for the attachment of siding material. Other versatile exterior applications include swimming pools, ponds, exterior tiles, decks, wharves, soffits, fences, etc.
Fire Rated Applications
Super Panel can be used where non-combustible materials or a one- hour fire rating is required - such as underneath and behind stoves, fireplaces, wood stoves, and other fire rated wall assemblies etc.
